Martin Thompson
Senior Engineer
Martin joined the Practice in 2016 and specialises in highway design, previously having over twenty years’ experience working within the civil engineering highway design industry in the private sector and over 2 years’ experience working in the public sector with City of York Council.
Martin is in the design team which undertakes schemes from initial planning through to detailed design for both Section 38 and Section 278 highway schemes. He also has experience in the site supervision role. Martin is experienced in using the latest AutoCAD software along with other utilities such as KeySIGN, KeyPOST, Autotrack and MX.
Martin is currently working on a range of Section 38 and Section 278 highway projects throughout the UK for commercial and housing schemes.
Away from the office Martin main interests are cricket, where he is a qualified Level II ECB cricket umpire, supports Leeds Rhinos and enjoys travelling.
