Geoff is a Chartered Engineer with over 30 years experience of highways and traffic matters. His strengths lie in development planning work and resolving highways issues to obtain planning permissions for his clients.

He originally worked for Bryan G Hall when the practice was only five strong. He has now seen sense and re-joined the practice in early 2017 to focus on technical excellence, delivery and client care.

Geoff has worked for a variety of large and small consultants in the past and also for local highway authorities earlier in his career. He has contributed to all sizes of project from large hospitals to small residential schemes and has considerable experience across all sectors of the development industry including residential, commercial, industrial, leisure, retail, energy and infrastructure.

His work is focused on preparing Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, Travel Plans, Environmental Assessments and negotiating S106 obligations and planning conditions. He also provides feasibility advice to clients and regularly prepares Access Appraisals to identify and manage potential risks for his clients.

Geoff relates well to officers, clients, stakeholders,  fellow professionals and the general public. He has a track record of negotiating with local Highway Authorities  but regularly appears at Public Inquiries, Hearings and Examinations in Public when agreement by negotiation is not forthcoming.

As a Chartered Engineer, Geoff is well aware of the issues in taking schemes forward through detailed design and construction and has dealt with numerous large and small Section 278 agreements in the past.

Geoff is a keen Middlesbrough supporter and in his spare time enjoys running and listening to live music.
